Philanthropy and Service

The Epsilon Delta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi at Cal Poly is dedicated to leaving a lasting impact on our community. As students, residents, and men of principle, we constantly find new ways to give back to the Cal Poly students and the greater San Luis Obispo community. Our chapter hosts countless philanthropic events each academic year aimed at serving our community in the best way possible. Our members are also required to accrue 5 hours of verifiable service outside of chapter philanthropic events every academic quarter (10 weeks). This standard is maintained in every chapter that is a member of the Cal Poly Interfraternity Council.

Woods Humane Society

In recent years we have driven our philanthropic efforts towards benefiting Woods Humane Society, a local animal shelter located 5 minutes away from Cal Poly's campus. Funds raised are directly donated to the shelter for use in rehabilitation efforts, facility management, and foster arrangements. In 2021 alone, we were able to raise over $8,000 for Woods Humane Society with plans to increase and expand our philanthropic in the coming years.
